Clipped Wings and Not Smellin' Like a Rose in This Week's Scars, Marks and Deformities

We've combed the last couple months of the Tinley police reports. For you. All for you.

Reports at the are quite detailed—a fact we at Patch have both come to appreciate and expect.

If you read them, you may learn more than you necessarily want to know (not us though; we want to know everything). But who doesn't like a good visual with a police report? That's where comes in.

If you don't yet regret the giant "I Love Mom" heart tattoo you have on your chest, or skateboarding off that roof as a kid, which left you with that sweet Harry Potter lightning bolt scar, just don't get arrested.

Today, let's count down the best Section 16 notes we've recently come across. We won't be naming those associated with the entries—you got your hopes up, didn't ya?—but we will include what they were charged with.

Beware the Wrath of a Crabby Old Man

Cops snagged an older man and charged him with two counts of battery after a fight at a local music venue. They found a tattoo of a crab on his upper right arm. Need we say more?

Clipped Wings

A young woman was arrested at an area shopping center and charged with felony retail theft. A tattoo on her lower back said, "You are the wind beneith my wings." We hope the spelling error was the officer's, not the artists. Either way, it doesn't look like she'll be flying away from this one any time soon.

Not Smellin' Like a Rose

A middle-aged man was reportedly caught stealing several items from a local store, including perfume and cologne. He had a rose tattoo on his right forearm. If that ink was a scratch 'n sniff, he probably wouldn't have needed all the smell-goods.

A "Trifecta" of Criminal Activity

A younger woman, who was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, reckless driving and retail theft, had a geometric tattoo on her right arm of three circles inside a triangle, police said. Perhaps she got it to represent her three future charges — the "trifecta."
