The Central Middle School Band has had an exciting spring season as they recently returned from performing at Walt Disney World in Florida. The group submitted an audition last fall and were accepted to perform a concert in Disney Springs. More than 100 students made the trip to bring Disney Springs visitors on a musical journey.

The Band performed songs from “Moana,” “Toy Story,” and “The Avengers.” The musicians also participated in a workshop titled “Imagination Disney,” which taught the students how animation and soundtracks are recorded and processed for movies. The instructor, who was a Disney recording artist, taught and recorded selections from the movie “Beauty and The Beast.”

The students also had some free time to visit Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom.
