Construction On 171st And Lagrange Is Not What Many Think

A new neighborhood is being built on 171st and Lagrange Rd. that will have a variety of amenities, restaurants and homes.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The construction going on over at the northeast corner of 171st Street and Lagrange Road, an area referred to as Orland Ridge, will be a mixed-use of development for the area, according to the Village of Orland Park.

New townhouses and apartments will be built in the area by S.R. Jacobson Development Corporation and Lormax Stern, according to a news release.

The townhome apartments in Orland Ridge will feature 196 residences at 1,490 square feet of living area, the release said. There will be 2 to 3 bedroom options available alongside a community building with exercise facilities, swimming pools, dog parks, markets and restaurants.

Orland Ridge will also have 102 villas consisting of 1,370 square feet, according to the village. The residences will be two bedrooms with attached garages. Villas are targeted but not restricted to seniors who prefer to rent for any reason, according to the release.

There was no completion date mentioned in the release.
