Crisis Center For South Suburbia Annual Gala To Be A 'Royal Ball'

The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 25 at The Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. Individual tickets are $125. Sponsorships available.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Crisis Center for South Suburbia, dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence and their children, announced that they will hold their annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 25, with several award recipients set to be honored at the event.

Orland Park resident Thomas McCarty will be presented with the Dianne Masters Award.

"Tom has played an important leadership role on the Crisis Center’s Board, and plays an active role in the Strategic Planning and Technology committees," the center said in a release. "He has helped ensure immense growth of the emergency shelter, services and programs offered to clients over many years of dedicated service to the organization."

The Suburban Service League is a local fundraising organization that has supported clients and donated almost $60,000 in funds towards many different projects for the Crisis Center for over 30 years.

"Many of this group’s members also personally support the organization and are exceptional advocates for survivors of domestic violence," the center wrote. "SSL will receive the Gifts for Hope Award, which is named after another local organization dedicated to helping families facing adversity."

CIBC Bank will be honored as the Corporate Partner of the Year.

"Its long-time support of the Crisis Center and strong leadership within the community makes this corporate champion stand out," according to a release. "Representing CIBC Bank at the Gala, Tinley Park resident, Kathy Mahoney, is the Chair of the Technology committee and sits on the Development Committee for the Crisis Center."
