Deadline Nears For Spots In Tinley Irish Parade

TINLEY PARK, IL — The deadline to apply for a spot marching in Tinley Park's Irish parade is creeping up, and there are only a few spots remaining.

The 24th annual Tinley Park Irish Parade is set to step off at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 3, marching along Oak Park Avenue.

The Village of Tinley Park is now accepting applications for spots in the parade. Businesses, nonprofits and other organizations are invited to participate. The cost is $20 for veterans, schools and nonprofit groups; $50 for Tinley Park businesses; $100 for non-Tinley Park businesses and political groups; and $200 for unions and large corporations. Participants will be eligible to win awards in one of four categories, including Amateur Float, Professional Float, Performance Group, and Walking Group/Vehicle.

Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis, and no entries will be accepted after the maximum number of entries are met. Complete the application and return it by Feb. 16.
