DeVry Student Accidentally Buys Cookies Laced With Drugs
A local university student thought she was buying normal "baked goods" at school last week. When she began to hallucinate, she realized they were not made with granny's cookie recipe.
A student at Devry said she bought three cookies from a peer only to be told after she ate them that they "contained PCP."
The 20-year-old student said she didn't think anything of the purchase —made on April 20—because it's "common for students to sell each other baked goods" on campus at 18624 S. West Creek Drive in . After a meal at a local restaurant, she ate two of the cookies she'd bought at school, the police report said.
"She soon started to feel lightheaded as her heart rate raced," the report said. "(She) called (the friend) to ask about the cookies and he told her that there was PCP in the cookies. (She) said that she started to hallucinate …"

She ended up at Speedway on 183rd Street and Harlem Avenue, according to the report, where an ambulance picked her up. She was treated at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields for "Tachycardia related to THC," the report said.
PCP was not found in her system but marijuana was. The woman told she didn't know where the third cookie went. They asked her to try finding it because if she wanted to file a complaint against the seller, the cookie may be necessary for prosecution.

No charges had been filed as of April 23.
