District 146 School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in District 146 is August 24. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Community Consolidated School District 146 has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (M. L. King's Birthday)

February

• 2/16: No School for Students (Institute Day)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/1: End of Grading Period
• 3/5: No School (Casimir Pulaski Day)
• 3/26 - 3/30: No School (Spring Break)

• 4/27: No School for Students (School Improvement Day)
