District 161 Holds Active Shooter Drill Tuesday Morning

FRANKFORT, IL — School District 161 has partnered with Will County Sheriff's Office to host a districtwide lock down/law enforcement active shooter drill from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tues., Aug. 20 at Summit Hill Junior High.

District officials are notifying the school community in advance to avert public alarm or panic. Police will be present on campus.

All District 161 schools and the Administrative Center will be closed that day for the school safety training.

Officials said that their diligence in practicing our school safety drills helps maintain our schools as a safe place to learn and work.
