Drunken Driving; Truck, Trailer Disappear, and More

Also in the latest police reports, dated June 19-20, 30 and July 3 and July 6, cops find 'f--- the police' graffiti, two are arrested on warrants and two are accused of theft.

FRIDAY, JULY 6

Theft

  • Timothy M. Griffin, 21, of the 2100 block of Heather Stone Lane in Plainfield, was arrested at an unspecified time in the 8600 block of Koehler Drive in and charged with theft. His bail was set at $1,500.
  • Kevin D. Elliott, 21, of the 8900 block of West 169th Place in Orland Hills, was arrested at an unspecified time in the 8600 block of Koehler Drive in and charged with theft. His bail was set at $1,500.

TUESDAY, JULY 3 

'F--- the Police' and a Pitchfork 

A woman living in the 16200 block of Ozark Avenue in called the cops to report that sometime between 7:30 p.m. July 2 and 8 a.m. July 3, someone spray-painted her garage door. The vandal, or vandals, sprayed in green paint the letters "MKC," "f--- the police," and a drawing of a pitchfork, according to the report.

SATURDAY, JUNE 30

Warrant Arrest

  • Sean C. Doodeman, 26, of the 7700 block of Bristol Park Drive in , was arrested around 12:30 p.m. at the Bridgeview Courthouse on a warrant for driving with a suspended license. His bail was set at $100,000, according to the report. 
  • Gerald J. Petika, 62, of the 18100 block of Mager Drive in , was arrested at Super Kmart around 11:30 p.m. on a failure-to-appear warrant for retail theft out of DuPage County. His bail was set at $5,000.

Drunken Driving

Hector Morales, 39, of the 6600 block of West Vogt Street in , was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and driving without a valid driver's license.

TUESDAY, JUNE 19

Truck and Trailer Disappear

A man who stored his dump truck and attached trailer in a yard in the 17600 block of South Duvan Drive in  called around 9 a.m. to report them stolen. He said he believed someone drove away with them between 3:30 p.m. June 18 and 6:50 a.m. June 19. The 2005 Chevrolet Dump Truck also contained tools and equipment, the report said. Among missing items were several backpack power leaf blowers valued at at least $419 a piece, a 54-inch hydro-power mower valued at $4,363 and several trimmers, according to the report. The case remained under investigation June 25.
