Off-Duty Officer Killed In Tinley Park Crash: Police
The other driver was transferred to Loyola in unknown condition.
TINLEY PARK, IL — An off-duty Chicago police officer was killed in a Saturday morning crash in Tinley Park, police said.
The crash happened at the intersection of 179th Street and LaGrange Road. Police said the officer and the other driver were taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where the officer was pronounced dead.
The other driver was transferred to Loyola University Medical Center for further treatment. Police said his condition is unknown.

As of 10:15 a.m., the Tinley Park Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team was still investigating at the scene.
Just before 8:30 a.m., police issued an alert asking drivers to avoid the area of 179th and LaGrange due to the crash.
