Fire At Pizza Shop Forces Evacuation In Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — A fire on the roof of a Tinley Park pizza place prompted those inside to evacuate Tuesday evening.

Tinley Park firefighters responded to Little Joe's Pizza, 7976 W. 167th St., just after 5 p.m. to find the fire had extended to the soffit but did not reach the building, officials said.

Little Joe's was briefly evacuated and shut down Tuesday evening.

No injuries were reported, and officials said the pizza shop was able to reopen.

The fire remains under investigation. The Orland Fire Protection District and the Oak Forest Fire Department assisted in putting out the blaze.
