Fireworks In Tinley Park Rescheduled Over Rain
Bad weather put a damper on the Tinley Park-Park District's annual pyrotechnic display.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Tinley Park-Park District cancelled its annual Fourth of July fireworks show because of the weather, according to the Tinley Park Public Safety Department. A make-up date has been set for 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at McCarthy Park, the department said.
The Hat Guys will peform before the fireworks show from 7 to 9:15 p.m. Beverages also will be for sale, and attendees can use their food tickets from Wednesday, July 4.
Fireworks were scheduled to go off at dusk at around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, at McCarthy Park. The pyrotechnic display was part of the park district's annual Fourth of July celebration, which began with the Stars and Stripes 5K.
