Flurry Artisan Market Back At Tinley Park Brewery

The market will be held Sunday, April 21 at Hailstorm Brewing in Tinley Park.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Shoppers looking to browse unique items with a cold drink in their hand should pencil in the Flurry Artisan Market, coming to Tinley Park April 21.

The market is set for Sunday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Hailstorm Brewery, 8060 186th St. in Tinley Park. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

This edition of the Flurry Artisan Market shines a spotlight on original artwork from a diverse array of talented creators, including painters, digital artists, sketchers, graphic designers, and mixed media collage and multidisciplinary artists. Expect to find many original pieces for sale, branded totes, books, tarot decks, and framed prints from artists such as LMKill Art, Becky Blue Designs, Art of Alex Kujawa, RavenFeathers and BatWings, Caroline Barnard Art Studio, LeonMechelle Artist Studios, Jonathan Grimm Art, Yvette Sketches, Robin Monique Rios, and The Little Things.

For those with an eye for fashion, the market will feature three artists catering to apparel enthusiasts. Cassafras Corner offers an array of tie-dye/ice-dye short and long-sleeved t-shirts, leggings, crop tops, aprons, baby onesies, socks, scarves, and bandanas, while Ghost Owl Studio presents graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts, pins, stickers, and koozies featuring original art. Vendor Curious Aesthetic features vintage goods and clothing from the 1930s, mid-century modern, and Regency Revival eras.

The event is organized by the Streetz Artz Alliance. The alliance is a group of 350 artists and crafters from across the Chicago suburbs, NW Indiana and southern Wisconsin who participate in markets all over the area. The group is dedicated to promoting local artists and fostering community engagement through art-centric events.

As shoppers browse, the brewery's scratch made kitchen will be open onsite, with menu favorites like pulled pork sandwiches, grilled cheese, MSBBQ smoked chicken wings, and cheese flatbread. Also offered will be venison sliders, served on pretzel buns with white American cheese, pinochle porter caramelized onions, bacon, and house-made pickle.

Quinncakes by George returns with a selection of artisanal bread, including the classic white sourdough, the crowd-favorite chocolate loaf, the innovative blue masa sourdough, and toasted garlic & herb focaccia. Prices range from $6 to $12 per item, and offerings tend to sell out quickly at every Streetz Artz Alliance show.

Shoppers can also enjoy the return of Hailstorm Brewing's Mexican Style Lager, Primo, now available in cans. Inspired by the brews popularized by Austrian and German immigrants to Mexico in the early 19th century, Primo boasts a light toasted malt character and refreshing drinkability, with 5.3% ABV.

The market also introduces 13 artists making their debut at the venue, promising fresh ideas and unique creations. From crochet and steel decor to jewelry, apparel, fudge, sauces, and tarot decks, expect a diverse array of offerings from artists like Cassafras Corner, Art of Alex Kujawa, Caroline Barnard Art Studio, Yvette Sketches, Batty Crochet, L & W Crystals, Lil Bird Kitchens LLC, Now That’s FUDGE & Sweets, Faereyals Richewel, Earthy Buddha, Steel Art Creations, KayDee Kay Creations, and Blue Bubble 7.

Many of the artists participating in the market also contribute to charitable causes. For example, Caroline Barnard Art Studio donates to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, while Blue Bubble 7 will allocate a portion of proceeds to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Additionally, Beaver Rub Spice Company and Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods support St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Plant lovers will rejoice at the presence of Rosie's Plant Care, offering an array of plants for purchase alongside their signature foiler spray made with certified organic ingredients. The spray not only cleans and shines leaves but also naturally repels unwanted pests like thrips, spider mites, mealy bugs, and scale. Rosie's Plant Care products also include planters, macrame plant hangers, and more.

Tinley Park resident and owner of Big Mike Soap Co., Michael Keselica, will showcase brand new scents, soap forms, and soaps, while Ten Cups Tarot returns to offer tarot readings and unique items for the spiritually inclined.

No tickets are required for this free event, and organizers encourage attendees to bring their families and enjoy the taproom and beer garden while perusing the vibrant offerings of the Flurry Artisan Market, presented by the Streetz Artz Alliance.
