Flurry Of Makers Artisan Market Back At Tinley Park Brewery
The market will be held Sunday, Oct. 15 at Hailstorm Brewing.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Those looking for a chance to browse unique goods with a cold beer in their hand have a chance to do just that Sunday.
The Flurry of Makers Artisan Market—a curated market of items handmade by artists—returns to Hailstorm Brewing Sunday, 8060 186th St., on Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a lineup of more than two dozen artists.
Event organizers promise "a vibrant fusion of local art, craft, and community spirit."

The market offers vendors showcasing "everything from exquisite fall apparel to Halloween-themed items and decor." Vendors will display goods both indoors and out. In the event of heavy rain or storms, the market will be moved completed indoors.
The Flurry is open to all ages, and there is ample free on-site and street parking available, making it a hassle-free family outing.

"In coming out to this chill sip and shop event, you are supporting over two dozen small and local businesses, and also getting some unique and beautifully crafted handmade items," said John Streetz, the head of the Streetz Artz Alliance (SAA) and organizer of the event.
"What sets the Flurry of Makers Market apart is its commitment to curate a diverse mix of artisans, ensuring that every edition of the market offers something new and exciting," Streetz said in a release. "The SAA prides itself on creating an intimate and unique atmosphere that distinguishes it from other local markets."
For this edition, the SAA is thrilled to welcome a lineup of talented artists new to the Hailstorm venue, including Robin Power Sculpture, Handmade by Molly, Scary Lair of Doom, Shenanigans Vintage Memorabilia, The Daydreamers Shop, Linda Horton Photography, Becky Blue Designs, Penguino Productions, Prairie 724 Knots, Terri’s Forgotten Forest, McGeever Brothers, Gary L Price, and Metta Clay.
In addition to the great variety and new items, several artists will be giving back to the community by donating a portion of their sales to charity. Some of the charities benefiting from this generosity include Tinley Park PAWS, Saint Jude's, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Wanna Help Outreach, Project Fire Buddies, Homewood Fire Department, Hometown Fire Department, and more.
Meet the Artists
1. McGeever Brothers
- Selected Charities: Project Fire Buddies, South Holland Fire Department, South Holland Police Department, Homewood Police Department, Homewood Fire Department, Hometown Fire Department, Hometown Police Department.
- Specialization: Custom woodwork and laser engravings.
- Description: The McGeever Brothers create custom woodwork and laser engravings, ranging from small bottle openers with personalized initials to 3-foot-wide flags with custom badges. They offer a wide range of customizable items, including hats, seasonal decorations, wedding gifts, and more.
2. Terry's Woodworking
- Selected Charity: Tinley Park PAWS
- Specialization: Handmade wooden creations, including yard flowers, chimney Santa's, and snowmen.
3. Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods
- Selected Charity: St. Jude's
- Specialization: Baking and Cooking
- Description: Masterclass Savory Sweet Foods offers a delicious array of cookies, brownies, nuts, cakes, and edible nuts. This artist has a long history of participating in artisan markets and craft shows, and she's a regular at the Streetz Artz Alliance.
4. Ericka Medina (Penguino Productions)
- Selected Charity: MS Foundation
- Specialization: Handmade crochet stuffies.
Food lovers have another reason to visit the Flurry of Makers Market, as the brewery's scratchmade kitchen offers its fall and winter menu including potato kale soup with onion, Italian sausage, bacon, kale, and parmesan cheese.
Returning fan favorites, such as Quinncakes by George and Ten Cups Tarot and Creations, are back again, promising some of the best breads and unique tarot readings for all visitors.
Hailstorm Brewing has adjusted its hours to accommodate the change in seasons. The brewery is closed on Mondays and open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The kitchen closes one hour before the taproom.
