Foaming-Mouthed Man Goes on Adderall and Cocaine-Fueled Window Bashing Binge: Cops

When asked how many windows he broke, the man replied "as many as he could," police said.

A foaming-mouthed Decatur man high on cocaine and Adderall went on a window bashing binge in Tinley Park, police said.

Officers were sent to West Creek Drive in the early morning hours of Aug. 11 “to check on a male subject that was running and yelling,” police said.

“The security guard who spotted the (man) advised that that (he) had just broken some business windows and he was foaming at the mouth,” police said.

When the officer arrived, he ran into 42-year-old Vichian Ford, who he said was “yelling frantically and walked toward me from across the street.”

Ford was “talking erratically and was very paranoid that people were trying to kill him,” police said, but officers managed to “calmly control (him) and guide him to the side of the road where we waited for an ambulance.”

Ford was taken to Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest. An officer spoke with him there and learned Ford had taken Adderall and cocaine and proceeded to break some windows.

“I asked Ford how many windows he broke,” an officer said, according to a police report.

“Ford advised he broke ‘as many as he could,’” the report said. “Ford could not advise why he broke the windows.”

Ford was charged with criminal damage to property.
