Plans approved by the village include a 3-acre park, town homes and one-story homes to attract older buyers.

This isn't the first area the village has adopted from Panduit as the company donated around eight acres to the village to build a stormwater retention pond that the company could then utilize.

The 39-acre parcel of land is part of a tax increment financing district, or TIF, which could fund further roads into the neighborhood if the developer and village choose. The entire development will be completed in two phases with the park completed after the majority of houses are built, according to plans.
