TINLEY PARK, IL — Patty Champ, a 34-year District 146 veteran educator, has been added to the district's hall of fame.

“She has touched the lives of so many students, parents, staff members, and administrators. Her impact will be felt by many people for years to come,"said Superintendent Jeff Stawick in a statement.

Champ, a Fulton Elementary third-grade teacher, is the 18th person added to the wall. She retired at the end of the school year.

Champ was recognized with the award because her colleagues said she is an inspiring and exemplary teacher, and been an outstanding role model for students. She was described as tolerant, kind, and patient, and as a teacher who helps her students meet success.

Community Consolidated School District 146 is comprised of Central Middle School, Fierke Education Center, Fulton School, Kruse Education Center, and Memorial School. Students from Tinley Park, Orland Park, and Oak Forest attend District 146 schools.
