Grissom Girls’ Softball Team Earns Back-to-Back SWIC Tournament Championships

Talent and Teamwork Lead to Another Championship Season

Congratulations to the Grissom girls’ softball team, who were named Southwest Interscholastic Conference (SWIC) tournament champions for the second year in a row! The Patriots wrapped up the season with an impressive 13-1 record.

Special recognition goes to Maddy Hermann, who earned All-Conference and MVP honors.

Coached by Jan O’Neil, the championship roster includes Vivian Brown, Claire Coyne, Olivia Haggerty, Maddy Herrmann, Layla Krauchun, Emily Lavery, Mackenzie Leigh, Amelia Martinez, Becca Massey, Molly Metz, Julia Picht, Anna Sankey, Vivienne Schau, Emma Tsiamas, and Reagan Wittenmeier. Emma Delacruz and Sofia Yousef are team managers.

“I’m so proud of this group of girls,” stated Coach O’Neil. “They worked hard every day, supported each other, and played with heart all season long. Winning the conference championship again is a true reflection of their dedication and teamwork.”
