Holy Battery and Scrap the Habit in This Week's Scars, Marks and Deformities

We've combed the last several months of the Tinley police reports. For you. All for you.

Reports at the are quite detailed—a fact we at Patch have both come to appreciate and expect.

If you read them, you may learn more than you necessarily want to know (not us though; we want to know everything). But who doesn't like a good visual with a police report? That's where Section 16 comes in.

If you don't yet regret the giant "I Love Mom" heart tattoo you have on your chest, or skateboarding off that roof as a kid, which left you with that sweet Harry Potter lightning bolt scar, just don't get arrested.

Cops chronicle those identifying marks for their records in case you ever need to be located. They can be found in Section 16: Scars, Marks or Deformities.

Today, let's count down the best Section 16 notes we've recently come across. We won't be naming those associated with the entries—you got your hopes up, didn't ya?—but we will include what they were charged with.

Holy Battery

A younger man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. Police said a tattoo of a large cross was branded into his upper arm. Clearly, he's a religious man.

Scrap the Habit, Not the Copper

Police arrested a woman and charged her with theft after they said they caught her stealing copper pipes from a local hardware store. They said she had heroin scars on both forearms.

Mommy's Wittle Boy

After reportedly violating a civil no-contact order, battering another person and acting disorderly in a public place, police nabbed a young man who they said they'd arrested before. He was formerly charged with sexual assault. Cops found the word "mother" inked vertically down his rib cage. I'm sure she's very proud.
