The minimum wage in the Land of Lincoln is $8.25 an hour, around $17,000 a year for full-time workers, but that isn’t nearly enough to support a family if you live in Illinois, according to career advice website Zippia’s living wage map.

Zippia used Massachusetts Institute of Technology‘s Living Wage Calculator to show exactly how much a worker needs to earn yearly to support the basic needs for two working adults and one child.
