Know Before You Go: Tinley's Oktoberfest Ready To Fill Your Stein
Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce's Oktoberfest will be held Friday, Sept. 20–Sunday, Sept. 22.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Get your steins ready. The keg's about to be tapped for the annual Tinley Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest.
The three-day fest kicks off Friday, Sept. 20 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 22. This year's event will be held at the 80th Avenue Metra Train Station North lot, moved back from the South lot. Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, Saturday 1 to 11 p.m, and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. Entrance is $10 per person for age 18 and over; 17 and under are free.
The fest will feature authentic German food, beer, traditional and modern live music, ceremonial keg tapping and more. There will be a stein hoisting contest each day, with gift cards to local restaurants & bars going to the winners—plus a year of bragging rights.

Visitors can expect bag checks at the entrance, and anyone age 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older. Attendees are asked to please leave certain items at home such as chairs, large bags, backpacks, coolers, pets, bicycles, and weapons. See the complete list on the Chamber's website.
ENTERTAINMENT
A carnival will be offered Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m., and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. Live music is set for each day. All carnival attendees will pay for entry: $20 for 20 ride tickets, or $35 per person for unlimited ride wristband.

All beer vendors will have a selection of Oktoberfest beers along with some of their other signature brews. Beer tent serving Coors Lite, Miller Lite, Black Cherry White Claw, Black Raspberry and Lemon Lime Carbliss, along with red and white wines.
