TINLEY PARK, IL — Home quarantines just might be the perfect opportunity for many to study their family history. So the Tinley Park Public Library has offered its Ancestry.com subscription for anyone who has a library card with them to use.

"If people are looking to start new projects [or] hobbies, genealogy is a good one, and this resource is otherwise cost-prohibitive for a lot of people," said Sarah Schroeder, marketing director for the Tinley Park Public Library.

Library card holders can sign in here, and even those without a library card at the moment may be able to access one.

Checkouts won't be due until May 1, and there will be no late fees while the library is closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
