Man Accused of Eighth Driving on a Revoked License Charge
A local man was arrested this month after he was reportedly driving on a revoked license. His record showed seven such convictions, as well as five driving under the influence convictions.

Police pulled over a vehicle around 7 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 8300 block of 183rd Street after the officer said he recognized the driver as having an active warrant. He then arrested Elwood R. Berka III, 43, of the 8400 block of Stratford Drive in .
They said Berka wasn't able to provide them with his driver's license because it was revoked. During a check of his background, police found five DUIs and seven driving with a revoked license convictions.

A representative from the Cook County State's Attorney's Office therefore approved a felony driving with a revoked license charge for Berka. He was also arrested on a warrant out of the Wheaton Police Department for deceptive practice. His bail was set at $5,000.
