Man Shoots At Estranged Wife Outside Grocery Store: Tinley PD

The incident happened outside the Jewel-Osco at 171st and Harlem. The man fled to his home, where he hid behind garbage cans.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Charges are pending after Tinley Park police say a man allegedly shot at his estranged wife following a domestic dispute in a grocery store parking lot Saturday, police said.

Police were called to the Jewel-Osco, 17117 S. Harlem Ave., around 10 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Officers recovered a shell casing from the scene, but the shooter had fled with his wife prior to their arrival, police said.

After a search, police said they found the shooter hiding behind garbage cans at his home in the 6000 block of Lake Bluff Drive in Tinley Park. Police have not yet disclosed the man's identity, pending charges.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.
