Manhunt In Tinley Park For 3 Connected To Double Homicide: Police
The search began around 10 p.m. Thursday on Ridgeland Avenue after 4 suspects fled on foot after a crash. One has since been apprehended.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Investigators were searching for three men in connection to an earlier shooting incident in Posen, and a double homicide in Hammond, Indiana, after officers responded to a car chase that ended in a crash, prompting the four occupants to flee. One has since been apprehended, police said, and the three who remain at large are considered armed and dangerous.
Around 10 p.m. Thursday, the Tinley Park Police Department responded to the area of Ridgeland Avenue and 183rd Street, after they said a car pursuit involving Illinois State Police and the Posen Police Department made its way to Tinley Park. A Tinley Park police officer spotted the car — a white Chrysler 300 — and began to chase it down on north bound Ridgeland Avenue, police said.
According to police, four men were inside the car before it fled, speeding and crashing into railroad tracks found at Ridgeland Avenue and Oak Forest Avenue. Three men ran off on foot in different directions, while one was apprehended by the officer and is now in custody with Posen police.
