Masks And More Donates Halloween Face Masks To Kids In Hospital

TINLEY PARK, IL — One local business is looking to bring smiles to children in the hospital by enacting its second charitable act since the beginning of the pandemic.

Masks and More Outlet — an extension of the online e-commerce company PulseTV — is heading to local hospitals and donating Halloween cloth masks to children.

Some hospitals the outlet is donating to include Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Silver Cross in New Lenox, St. James in Olympia Fields and Riverside Hospital in Kankakee.

"Halloween is such a fun day for the kids and we wanted to bring a little joy with these masks printed with all of the kid-favorite Halloween themed characters," Co-founder Anisa Ali said. "Children’s sizes range from ages 3-8 and age 9 on up to adults."

This is not the first time the company has come to the aid of those in need. Early in the pandemic, parent company PulseTV donated sanitizer and masks to local fire and police departments in the area. The company also donated nearly 1,000 KN95 masks to Riverside Hospital who — at the time — was short on medical grade masks.

"It is important for everyone to pitch in and do what we can to help our local communities. This is why we started to produce hand sanitizer and even now we are producing rubbing alcohol which is in short supply," Anisa said. "But doing something for children who are unfortunately sick or unavailable for Halloween was just something we felt compelled to do."

PulseTV is a North American online retailer that has been marketing exclusively online since 1998. In August, the company opened its first retail location in Orland Park, located at 14215 South LaGrange Road. Less than 60 days later, the company opened its second location in Tinley Park located at the center of the Tinley Downs Plaza at 7911 W. 171st St.

These stores have over 100 styles of decorative, protective masks as well as disposable masks for both adults and kids, all at steeply discounted prices. Along with all types of PPE, every Masks & More Outlet carries discounted "As Seen On TV" products featured on its parent company, PulseTV's website, according to the outlet.
