She was just driving along when a man on the side of the road flung a rock at her windshield.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A motorist was beset by a rock-throwing man as she drove down Oak Park Avenue, police said.

The 34-year-old woman was heading south on Oak Park Avenue near Prosperi Drive about 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 3 when she spotted a man on the side of the road.

She “thought the man was waiting for her car to pass so he could cross the road so she was surprised that when she approached him he threw a rock that struck the windshield of her vehicle causing two large scratches,” police said.
