National Night Out Returns To Tinley's Freedom Park
TInley Park Police will host National Night Out Tuesday, August 5 at Freedom Park.

TINLEY PARK, IL — National Night Out returns to Tinley Park on Tuesday, Aug. 5, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
The Tinley Park Police Department joins law enforcement agencies across the country with the Village's annual National Night Out at Freedom Park, 7835 Timber Dr., from 6 to 9 p.m. National Night Out events are part of a push to strengthen police and community relations.
The nationwide event “promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer,” according to the National Association of Town Watch, the organization that founded the annual early August event in 1984.

The event will include visits with personnel from Tinley Park Police, firefighters, public works, emergency management staff, and other public safety agencies. Attendees can also visit with representatives from local businesses, organizations, schools, and churches.
The evening's entertainment will include a stilt walker, magician, juggler, and DJ music.
