Oak Park Avenue Closed Wednesday For Bridge Repairs: IDOT

The road will be closed in both directions until Wednesday evening, Tinley Park and IDOT officials said.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Oak Park Avenue is closed until approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday, while the Illinois Department of Transportation makes repairs to the I-80 bridge, Village officials said.

As the work is in progress, Oak Park Avenue is closed from West Point Drive to the entrance of CarMax near Prosperi. The road will be shut down in both directions. There will be no through traffic.

The work was originally set to be completed on Friday but was delayed due to weather. Residents are encouraged to take alternate routes.
