Oddities Market At Tinley Brewery Set To Showcase The Strange, Unusual
The one-day market takes place at Soundgrowler Brewery in Tinley Park on Saturday, Oct. 7.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Shoppers on the hunt for a little something extraordinary and unusual have an opportunity to visit a market featuring artists' most unique items.
Soundgrowler Brewing, 8201 183rd St., will host its first ever Oddities event Saturday, Oct. 7, bringing more than 40 vendors to the lineup—and several hearses, as well.
The one-day only event plans to bring "a world of wonders, where the bizarre meets the extraordinary," organizer John Streetz said. The event will take place both inside and outside the brewery, with vendors expected to bring out some of their more unusual, strange, and otherworldly items for the event. These are items for sale that many will consider "oddities," Streetz said.

The market will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with vendors selling spooky decor, themed apparel, jewelry that ranges from gorgeous to downright creepy, original art and prints from a variety of art styles, entomology framed in gothic boxes, herbal supplements, stash boxes, macramé, devil red cookies and more.

In addition to the vendor displays, there will be several cartomancy and other services offered. Ten Cups Tarot & Creations will be reading Tarot from inside one of the hearses.

Another artist, The Apothecary Cupboard, specializes is a variety of reading styles including Tarot, Oracle, Bone (Osteomancy), Astrology and Mediumship. Fine-Tooned Caricatures will also be on-site to provide individualized caricature drawings.
"I love it when the general public catches up to our year-round spookiness," said Ziomara Soto, owner of The Apothecary Cupboard. "The Soundgrowler servicing up classics like Tortilla Hands beer and slinging tacos while John, the Host of Streetz Artz Alliance, organizes an event packed with verything metaphysical, horror, Oddities and art related with a backdrop of hearses is just what the Doctor (Frankenstein) ordered."

"Each artist is bringing out some weird and strange items, whether just in their display or in the specific items they sell. The best part is you will still get some of the amazing items you are used to getting from an alliance show like pickles, cookies, self-care items or art."
The brewery will have their normal kitchen open, serving tacos and other food items that pair great with beverages and shopping. For more information and to check out artist features, check out the market's Facebook page.
