Earlier this week we shared a list of the 10 oldest female offenders in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
In case you missed the companion list of the 10 oldest male prisoners serving time, you can find it here. They all have more years on them than their female counterparts. In fact, all 10 were born before the start of WWII and some even before the Great Depression. The oldest, at 94, was admitted to the Dixon Correctional Center just before his 94th birthday!
Note: Inmates who are classified as “Sexually Dangerous Persons” are civilly committed to IDOC and remain in custody until it’s determined they are “recovered.”
