Pizza Lovers Rejoice! It's Almost Time to Shed Light on Your Favorite Local Pie
The Patch Pizza Playoffs are set to begin this week and I'm asking all of you to step up to the plate to nominate your favorite local pizza joints.

When it comes to the ooey gooey, cheesy perfection that is pizza, everyone has a favorite.
Maybe an even cheese-sauce ratio is what you fancy. Perhaps you look for a crispier than crisp crust. Is it a deep dish pizza that you use as your pizza maker barometer? No matter what the deciding factors are, we NEED to know—which local pie joint has the most fans? We intend to find out this week, as our first ever Patch Pizza Playoffs begin just in time for Sunday's big game.
I'm going to be relying on you, our trusty Patch readers, to pick a winner from our Oak Forest- playoff bracket that will advance to the regional championship round.

First-round voting will launch on Feb. 2 and will conclude at midnight Feb. 5. The pizza in our bracket to collect the most votes will advance to the Super Pizza championship round and vie for the title of The Most Loved Pizza in the Southland—an honor to be awarded after championship voting concludes Feb. 12.
But before it all begins, I'll be turning to some of my most avid Patch readers—my beloved, quirky Facebook fans. It is all of you who hold the nominating power! Keep an eye out for my questions today about your favorite pizza makers. I'll be looking to you to nominate independent, locally owned pizza places (pizza chains can easliy tilt the voting).
