Police Blotter: Criminal Trespassing; Pot in the Center Console

Criminal Trespassing
Michael L. Jackson, 44, of the 17700 block of South Highland Road in , was charged with criminal trespass after an incident in the 21800 block of Pfeiffer Road in Frankfort. His court date is March 12.

Pot in the Center Console
Mohammed H. Ellayyan, 20, of the 18100 block of Goesel Drive in Tinley Park, was arrested around 7 p.m. near the intersection of 157th Street and Harlem Avenue. Police followed Ellayyan's car after they saw it suspiciously parked near Princenton Avenue and Nottingham Drive, they said.
They thought the vehicle and its passengers might be involved in a drug deal, according to the report. Ellayyan's vehicle also only had one headlight. When police pulled him over, they said they smelled burnt marijuana wafting from the car.

They searched and found a stash in the center console. Ellayyan was charged with possession of more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams of marijuana and driving a vehicle with one headlight.
Wallet Missing
A man said that between 9 p.m. and 10:50 p.m., someone stole his wallet. He said he believed it was taken while he was at Speedway, 7201 183rd St., Tinley Park.
But the surveillance footage at the station shows the man placing the wallet back into his pocket after making a purchase. The man told police the wallet must have fallen out of his pocket and been picked up by someone else. It contained $300 cash, two credit or debit cards, a Social Security card and his Illinois driver's license.
THURSDAY, MARCH 1
Bicycle Stolen
Sometime between Feb. 29 and 9 p.m. and March 1 at 7 p.m., someone stole a $329 mountain bike that was chained to a bicycle rack behind an apartment building in the 17200 block of South 71st Street in Tinley Park. The bike was made by the brand Specialized and was black, grey and silver, the report said. Its serial number is PGEA44009.
THURSDAY, FEB. 28
Cell Phone and Wallet Stolen From AHS
A 16-year-old Andrew High School student reported that between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., someone stole her wallet, phone and money from a locker at the school. The wallet contained $400 cash, according to the report. An AT&T Samsung phone was also missing. Police said texts were sent from the phone since it was taken. A dean at the school said the theft was among a string of others that have recently been reported. The case remained under investigation.
