Presidents Day is Monday and many of us are looking forward to a three-day weekend. Here is what is open and closed in your area.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Got official business? Check your calendar before you leave. Monday is Presidents Day, a recognition of George Washington's birthday, and is a federal holiday celebrated each year on the third Monday of February. Most government offices, courts and banks will be closed, however most retailers will be open.
Here's what is open and closed in the south suburbs:
Government offices and services: Closed.
Public libraries: Many are closed, but check your local branch. Tinley Park and Orland Park, for example, is open. Chicago Heights is closed.
Mail delivery: All post offices are closed.
Banks: Most will be closed. Check your local branch for hours.
School districts: Varies, but check your school's calendar. Bloom District 206 and Homewood-Flossmoor High School are closed, for example, and Orland Park District 135 is open.
Metra: Running normal schedules.
Pace: Running regular schedule.
