Purse Snatcher Strikes on Harlem Avenue
Police are looking for a robber who victimized a woman Sunday morning.

are looking for a purse snatcher who robbed a woman Sunday morning while she was waiting for a hair salon in the 15900 block of Harlem Avenue to open its doors.
The suspect approached the victim around 9:50 a.m., according to a community alert, and asked her what time the cleaners in the strip mall opened. The police report indicates that the 69-year-old victim was sitting outside Get the Look Hair Salon on a bench. Her purse was beside her.
"The suspect grabbed the victim's purse from beside her and then fled the area in a tan colored Toyota," a news release said. Police said the car was being driven by another person.

Police said the victim described the thief as a white man who was about 6 feet tall and had a medium build. He was wearing dark clothing and a black skull cap, and appeared to be around 25 years old.
The purse contained about $60 cash, a cell phone, two Visa credit cards, a Sam's Club membership card and a set of keys.
