Reader Reviews of Guardi's Pizza: It's 'Horrible' and 'Fabulous'

Once a week, we’ve been posting a roundup of businesses — or — and asking readers to tell us what they think about them.

Sometimes they rave about businesses, and other times, they don't. Take , a local Italian eatery founded in 1987 by “Big Al” and his wife Claire.

So what do Patch readers think about it? They're pretty split. Four people have reviewed Guardi’s in our business directory and given it an average of 3 stars.

• "Ordered our pizza at 4:30pm on a Sunday. Was told it would be an hour. Called sometime after 6pm (hadn't arrived yet). Was told it just came out of the oven and they would be delivering our food in 10 minutes. Waited the 10 minutes then received a phone call from the driver stating they couldn't find our apartment so they left it downstairs in the hall. Who does that?!? We called the restaurant to report the driver and was told, 'Well, it was the owner who delivered it.' That makes it ok? They then tried to give us $ money off our NEXT order. There will NEVER, EVER be a next order and I'm going to every website I can find to let everyone know how horrible they are." (1 out of 5 stars)

• "This place is great! It's a small storefront, no eating inside and the pizza is FABULOUS! It's been around for over 20 years for good reason - Not only do they have great pizza, but Guardi's has been very good to the community over the years!" (5 out of 5 stars)
