Resolution Praises Tinley Park Police Department

TINLEY PARK, IL — Trustees in Tinley Park last week unanimously passed a resolution that praises its police department. The resolution was similarly-written to one recently passed by trustees in neighboring Orland Park and was signed by all members of the village board without discussion on July 7.

"This resolution recognizes the men and women of the Tinley Park Police Department, whose daily efforts keep us safe," Trustee William Brady said while reading the resolution. "Each day they put themselves in harm's way to protect our community."

The resolution states, in part, that the "men and women of the Tinley Park Police Department often receive little or no recognition for their daily efforts to keep us safe, yet each day they put themselves in harm’s way to protect our community."

It also declared July 2020 "police recognition month" in Tinley Park.
