TINLEY PARK, IL — The citizens volunteer group in Tinley Park, which helps senior citizens and others at risk for contracting the new coronavirus by delivering groceries, medications and other essential items, received a boost from the local Sam's Club store.

Nancy O'Conner, one of the group's organizers, said the store has donated 225 rolls of toilet paper, 90 rolls of paper towels and 60 containers of Clorox wipes for seniors in the village. They've also donated a dozen $50 gift cards for seniors in need, O'Conner said.

More than 100 people in the village have offered to volunteer for the effort to help, which has already brought several dozen at-risk residents what they need.
