'Several' Bullet Casings Found Near Andrew High School: Tinley Park PD
According to police, multiple casings were found near 171st Street and Inverness Dr. Thursday after a wedding parade fired shots in the air.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Police are investigating a shooting near Victor J. Andrew High School, officials said.
According to police, several rounds were shot near the area of 171st Street and Inverness Drive Thursday evening. Police Chief Matt Walsh told Patch officials believe the shooter was part of a wedding party that was driving east on 171st Street when the shooter fired shots into the air.
No injuries had been reported as of Friday night, Walsh said, but multiple bullet casings were found. One block away, nearby Andrew High School sent an email to parents that stated no bullet casings were found on VJA property.

Officials said all students and staff were dismissed from school before the 4 p.m. shooting as Thursday was the last day before summer break.
Police are gathering security camera footage from the area, Walsh said.
