Sheriff's Police Search Tinley Home In Organized Retail Theft Probe

TINLEY PARK, IL — Cook County Sheriff's police searched a Tinley Park home Tuesday morning as part of an organized retail theft investigation.

Sheriff's police executed a search warrant Tuesday morning at a home in the 17600 block of 71st Avenue in Tinley Park, according to Cook County Sheriff's Office Director of Communications Matt Walberg.

Heavy police activity was reported in the area, with Tinley Park Police assisting. Witnesses reported seeing officers removing boxes of presumed evidence from inside the home.

The sheriff's department declined to provide further information early Wednesday afternoon, citing an ongoing investigation.
