Suspect Shot In Matteson Bank Robbery: FBI

The robbery happened Monday at approximately 10:30 a.m., the FBI said.

MATTESON, IL — Shots were fired during a bank robbery in Matteson Monday morning, with injuries reported, the FBI said. One suspect was believed to be hit by gunfire before fleeing the scene, the FBI said Monday evening.

The incident happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. at US Bank, 4350 Lincoln Highway, Public Affairs Officer Siobhan Johnson told Patch.

Later Monday morning, the FBI and police surrounded a Walmart in Country Club Hills, responding to what Johnson called an armored truck incident during which shots were also fired. No injuries were reported in that incident.
