Smoothie King Coming To Tinley Park: Developers
The smoothie chain is expected to go up in the former Brown's Chicken location at 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue, village officials said.
TINLEY PARK, IL — A Smoothie King is expected to come to the soon-to-be developed area near 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park officials told Patch.
The former Brown's Chicken building was demolished last week as part of the property's purchase by PARTH37 in June. The development company told village officials they would erect the smoothie chain by 2023.
PARTH37 already owns seven Smoothie King locations throughout the south suburbs including a location in Orland Park. According to board records, developers presented the idea to village officials at a meeting in September and told the board they hope to build up to 10 more smoothie and snack chain locations by 2023.

Brown's Chicken closed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, former owners told Patch. The lot sat vacant until June, when the construction company officially bought the property with plans to spend about $800,000 on the new building which could include a drive-thru.
The company has not yet begun construction on the space.
