Steve Klotz Named New Chief Of Tinley Park Fire Department
Klotz was named at last week's village board meeting, but has held the position as an interim role since July when Forest Reeder retired.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Village Board officially named Steve Klotz as the new fire chief at last week's board meeting. Klotz has been filling the role on an interim basis since July.
The new Chief Klotz has been a firefighter for over 40 years. Before coming to Tinley Park in 1993, he was a battalion chief for the Bedford Park Fire Department. His previous position within the department was as deputy chief of fire suppression before taking over from former fire chief Forest Reeder, who left the village last June.
According to village officials, Klotz was "instrumental" in the slow conversion from the volunteer fire department into a part-time organization in 2001.
