Tenacious Texter Really Wanted Hospital Hookup to Happen: Cops

TINLEY PARK, IL — A Tinley Park woman endured months of lecherous text messages from a man she met while they were both receiving treatment at Christ Hospital, police said.

The 24-year-old woman reportedly told police she befriended the man, whom she knows only as “Patrick,” while they were under the hospital’s care in April and May.

The woman and Patrick “became friends and (she) gave Patrick her cell phone number,” police said. “After (she) left Christ Hospital,” Patrick allegedly started texting her. And texting her and texting her.

According to police, these texts are all from May 24:

• Hey wat up want go out and jus hang
• If so come over in like 5 10 for a late-nite booty-call luv you know who xoxoxoxo
• how ya feeling girlie face miss ya
• This is Patrick from Christ Med. Hows your E.C.T. treatment going
• Give me a buzz whey you get out kay This is Patrick from Christ Advocate Medical Center
• By the way my real age is twenty-eight I was born (redacted) jus so you can fully trust me all the way
• I want you to know your beautiful girl
• That is the only thing I ever lied to you about

Here are some more May texts, according to police:

• Happy Mamas Day (sent twice)
• Hey you up
• Wat you up too today chick
• Hey (you) wat are you up too today are you at depaul today
• I will lick you from ------- to elbow little girl ...

“After she received the first set of texts, (the woman) ‘muted’ text messages from Patrick,” police said, and she never actually spoke to him or saw him outside the hospital. But he allegedly kept on texting, sending such messages as:

• Hey (you) are you alright you never get bck at me I miss talking to you tell (your sister) I said hi as well give me a buzz when you get a chance
• I miss talking to you get bck at me asap
• Is your sis in my neck of the woods
• Is your sis in chicago ridge
• Happy 4th of july
• Wats going on girlie face Hows everything how was your ects are you all better LOL
• Love ya get back at me as soon as you get this Im worried bout you
• I love my calender girl
• I love my little girl never forget that girlie face
• Is this (your) number

On July 29, police said, the woman finally “responded to Patrick with a text message stating verbatim, ‘Stop texting me, Stop calling me. Stop leaving voicemails. I will contact the police if you do not stop. You have been warned.’”

But Patrick did not stop, police said. Instead, he sent her a text asking, “Who is this.”

The woman told him, “Leave me alone,” police said, and threatened that, “If you keep contacting me I will get the police involved. End of conversation.”

Undeterred, the man texted her some more, police said, sending these messages:

• Can I poke dat pretty little ---- ...
• Tell (your sister) the same

He also allegedly called a couple times from a restricted telephone number.

An officer attempted to contact the texter but was unsuccessful, police said.
