Thief Pepper-Sprayed Best Buy Worker Before Making Getaway: Cops
The thief escaped and is now a wanted man, police said.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A shoplifter pepper-sprayed a Best Buy worker who caught him stealing, then made his getaway, police said.
Narcellus Taylor, 21, may have escaped the clutches of the Best Buy employee, police said, but he is now a wanted man. Taylor faces charges of aggravated battery and retail theft.
In November, Taylor, a resident of Chicago’s South Side, snatched hundreds of dollars worth of electronics at the Tinley Park store but was apprehended by a worker, according to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court.

The worker detained Taylor, the complaint said, but Taylor pepper-sprayed him before the cops could get there.
It was not clear if Taylor was allegedly able to get away with any of the merchandise.

The warrant for Taylor’s arrest carries a $60,000 bond.
