Tinley Chamber's Oktoberfest Nixed Amid Rising Costs
The three-day, themed fest has been canceled for 2025, organizers have announced.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park won't have an Oktoberfest this year, with the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce citing rising costs to run the event as cause for its cancelation.
"This was a difficult decision, but after careful consideration, we believe it is the best course of action at this time," the Chamber initially shared on the event's website.
In a followup email to Patch, Chamber President Jame Holt said the event just got too expensive to put on.

"... While we understand the popularity of Oktoberfest, the costs to run and properly secure the event have just become unsustainable for our volunteer organization," Holt said. "We remain committed to our business community and will offer new and exciting opportunities to promote our business members. We thank our entire Tinley Park Community for the many years of support and look forward to seeing you at future Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce events."
The fest typically spans three days, featuring authentic German food, beer, traditional and modern live music, ceremonial keg tapping and a carnival. Organizers appear hopeful the event will return in 2026.
