Tinley Is Collecting Water Donations For University Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Village of Tinley Park is collecting donations of bottled water to help University Park, which has declared a state of emergency in response to lead contamination concerns. High lead levels have prevented more than 1,000 households from consuming tap water.

Residents can drop off their water donations at Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park, during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; and 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

Donations will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 2 and should be delivered to the attention of Hannah Lipman.
