Tinley Park Announces Halloween Decorating Contest Results
Over 50 entries were made in the contest. The winner was announced along with others who entered.
TINLEY PARK, IL — This Halloween, the village said to "out-BOO" your neighbors in the first ever "Halloween House Decorating Contest," and that is what many residents did.
The Tinley Park contest has officially wrapped up and the village has announced its winners. Here are the top three:
· Best Overall Theme: 18300 Cottonwood Drive.

· The Scariest House: 17374 S. 69th Avenue.
· Best Special Effects: 8907 Woodbine Ct.

Winners received a $100 gift card to the Tinley Park business of their choice. The Village said they received a total of 58 entries from homeowners across town. The competition ran from which ran from Sept. 25 to Oct. 16.
The village held judging from Oct. 19 to 22. During that time, volunteer judges from the Tinley Park Marketing Commission visited houses and selected the top three from 14 semi-finalists, according to the village.
All entries can be viewed here and for those who will not be trick-or-treating this year, driving past the home displays may be an alternative option.
