Tinley Park High School Lifts Soft Lockdown; Police Investigating

UPDATED: School officials placed the campus in a soft lockdown Friday morning after receiving an outside threat.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A soft lockdown at Tinley Park High School has been lifted Friday, but police continue to investigate the reasons that caused it, according to the village. School officials placed the campus in a soft lockdown after receiving an outside threat.

Police do not believe residents are in any danger, an online update by the village stated. Details concerning the specifics of the threat, however, weren't given. The soft lockdown started at around 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, and it was called off at about 12:30 p.m.
