TINLEY PARK, IL — A kid-ran curbside café in Tinley Park is back for a special pop-up only, the morning of Monday, July 28.

Hanover Kids' Charity Coffee Café will run for just one day, with the kids behind it each selecting a charity to benefit from the proceeds. The young entrepreneurs running the show range in age from 11 to 15, and all attend either Grissom Middle School or Victor J. Andrew High School.

Friends Gianluca Fricano, Christian Gingras, Mikey Gingras, Allison Hejna, Ryan Schmidt, and Joey Zemanek pulled together the stand in an effort to raise funds for their specific causes. Originally started in 2020, the curbside café has run each year since, with the exception of 2024.

Causes selected for the pop-up include Ginger Rugai's Breast Cancer Foundation, Y Me Softball, Leukemia Research Foundation, and Epilepsy Foundation. Also chosen as a beneficiary is the family of Ares Roper, a beloved Tinley Bulldogs and Bobcats coach who died suddenly in June at 42 years old.

Items available Monday include iced coffees, lattes, tea, lemonade and Arnold Palmer mix (iced tea mixed with lemonade). All items sold are made by the kids behind the stand. Suggested donation per drink is $5.
